Fatal Crash in Walthamstow: Police Hunt Witnesses

Tragedy struck Walthamstow on Tuesday evening as a pedestrian was killed in a collision with a van.

Deadly Smash on Markhouse Road

At around 5pm on 16 June, a white Volkswagen van collided with a 71-year-old man at the junction of Markhouse Road and Queens Road, E17.

The victim, from Walthamstow, was rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service but sadly died shortly after.

Driver Stays at Scene, No Arrests Yet

The van driver remained at the scene. Police have not made any arrests as the investigation continues.

“His family have been informed,” confirmed authorities.
