Police swooped on an Orchard Road home in East Cowes, Isle of Wight, last night, arresting a man after a dramatic blue-light response. Eight officers, backed by a police dog handler, stormed the scene just before 8pm Tuesday.

Man Arrested After Intense Police Raid

The 44-year-old was taken into custody following a domestic incident. He was dragged into a police van but didn’t go quietly. Officers remained on Orchard Road well past 11.30pm while investigations continued.

Suspect Held for Assault

Hampshire Constabulary confirmed the man faces charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH). He’s currently being held at Newport Police Station as inquiries unfold.
