Police Launch Murder Probe After Woman Found Dead in Slough
Woman Found Dead in Long Readings Lane
Officers were called to Long Readings Lane around 7.30pm on Sunday (6 June) and discovered a 49-year-old woman’s body. What was initially treated as an unexplained death has now turned into a murder investigation.
Two Men Arrested in Connection
Two men from Slough – a 35-year-old and a 49-year-old – have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody. The Major Crime Unit is leading the investigation, with specially trained officers supporting the victim’s family during this difficult time.
Investigation Underway
A post-mortem was carried out on 8 June, but results have yet to be released pending further medical analysis. Detective Inspector Dejan Avramovic said:
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman. We have launched a full murder investigation and arrested two suspects. We understand concerns in Slough but we are conducting a thorough inquiry. Officers have a strong presence in the area to reassure the community.”
