Body Found Outside Poundland in Newport Sparks Police Probe
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police have launched an investigation after a man was found dead outside the Poundland store in Newport this morning.
Scene Sealed Off on Newport High Street
Officers have cordoned off part of the High Street near the bargain basement shop. The area remains sealed as cops carry out their inquiries.
Man Discovered in Shop Doorway Alley
It’s believed the man was brought out from a nearby flat before being found in an alley beside the shop. Police were alerted just before lunchtime on Friday.
Emergency services are still at the scene, with road closures in place. More updates to follow.
