Body found in Calne in search for missing Ricky, 33
A grim discovery has ended the search for 33-year-old Ricky, last seen in Calne over the weekend. Wiltshire Police confirmed a body was found on Monday morning, near Quemerford Road.
Urgent Search After Ricky Goes Missing
Ricky was reported missing on Saturday afternoon, triggering a massive search operation. Wiltshire Police teamed up with Wiltshire Search and Rescue crews to scour the area.
Tragic Find Near Quemerford Road
Just after 10am on Monday 17 March, officers located a body believed to be Ricky’s. Formal identification hasn’t been completed yet, but Ricky’s family have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
“Our thoughts remain with Ricky’s loved ones as they come to terms with this devastating news. We are providing them with all the support they need,” a police spokesperson said.
No Suspicion of Foul Play
At this early stage, police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. A file will be prepared for the coroner as post-mortem examinations get underway.
