Police Launch Manhunt After Ram Raid on Sandhurst Bookies
Chaos hit a quiet Sandhurst street early Monday as robbers rammed the Coral bookmakers with a wheelie bin in a daring smash-and-grab.
Wheelie Bin Used as Ram Raid Weapon
At around 4.30am, masked thieves repeatedly crashed a wheelie bin into the front of the Yateley Coral shop on Yorktown Road. CCTV captured the brazen attack that left the shopfront in ruins.
Thieves Make Off with Cash
After smashing their way inside, the robbers fled with an undisclosed sum of cash. The bookies stands just half a mile from the Royal Military Academy, making the crime all the more shocking for the small town.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Thames Valley police and Bracknell CID are hunting the culprits. Officers urge anyone who saw the raid or has info to call 101 quoting UR number 116 of October 2017.
