Police Hunt Grey Audi After Christopher George Murder Shock
Detectives are urgently hunting a dark grey Audi A4 linked to the brutal killing of 26-year-old Christopher George in Enfield last week.
Car Spotted Near Shooting Scene
The Audi was seen near Sebastopol Road, N9, shortly after Mr George was shot dead at around 8.55pm on Wednesday, 29 July. Officers are desperate to trace the vehicle and want anyone who saw the car leaving the area or knows its whereabouts to come forward.
Ruthless Attack Caught on Eyewitness Accounts
Mr George was reportedly sitting in a black Mercedes when two men on foot approached him. Seconds later, he was shot at close range. The gunmen then fled to a car and sped off towards Felixstowe Road.
Despite rapid emergency response, Mr George died at the scene from a gunshot wound to the chest, confirmed in a post mortem on 31 July. His family have been informed.
Detectives Plead for Public Help
“It is now one week since Christopher’s murder. Officers will be conducting house-to-house enquiries and handing out appeal leaflets today. We need the community’s help to understand this ruthless killing,” said Detective Chief Inspector David Hillier. “If you have any information about the shooting or the grey Audi, please come forward. You will be fully supported and will be doing the right thing.”
