Fatal Collision Shuts Road for Hours

Police Scotland is hunting for witnesses after a man was fatally hit by a car on the A91 at Old Guardbridge, St Andrews. The smash happened around 7.15pm on Thursday, 8 December 2022.

The 42-year-old pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed.

Car Occupants Unharmed

The car involved had three occupants: a 68-year-old female driver, a 39-year-old woman, and a four-month-old baby. Thankfully, none of them needed medical treatment.

Police Seek Dash Cam Footage

The road was closed for hours while officers conducted their investigation. Sergeant Jill Kirkpatrick urged anyone in the area with info to come forward. She said:

“I am appealing for anyone who was in the area with any information to contact us. In particular, anyone with dash cam footage is asked to check their videos as they could hold crucial evidence.”

Witnesses are asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3011 of 7 December 2022.
