Tragedy at Tooting Commons as man found dead before dawn
Man Found Unresponsive Near Bedford Hill
Police rushed to Tooting Commons near Bedford Hill, SW17, just before 6am this morning, Thursday 10th March. They were called after the London Ambulance Service received reports from a concerned member of the public about an unresponsive man.
Death Treated as Unexplained but Not Suspicious
Officers arrived swiftly, but sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed. A forensic team is currently scouring the area. Police say the death is unexplained but no foul play is suspected.
Investigation and Oversight Underway
Given earlier concerns for the man’s safety, the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been notified, as per routine procedure. Authorities promise to keep the public updated as more information emerges.
