Schoolboy Airlifted to Hospital After Horror Ramsgate Crash
A school-age boy has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a collision involving a car and a motorcycle or scooter in Ramsgate this morning.
Serious Injuries on Grange Road
The emergency services were called to Grange Road at around 11.10am. The young rider was found with severe head and femur injuries.
The South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) and Kent Police responded swiftly. The Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) Air Ambulance charity landed nearby at Ramsgate Football Club to provide advanced medical care and transport.
A SECAmb spokesperson said: “Crews assessed and treated the motorcyclist at the scene for injuries to their head and femur. The patient was airlifted to King’s College Hospital in London for further medical treatment.”
Road Closed as Police Launch Investigation
A section of Grange Road was cordoned off by police to allow emergency crews to work safely and to investigate the crash.
Police Confirm Ongoing Enquiries
Kent Police have confirmed that enquiries are ongoing, with no arrests made so far. The injured boy’s condition has not been updated but he remains under specialist care at the London hospital.
