Tragic Porsche Crash Claims Man’s Life Near Alyth
A fatal crash involving a grey Porsche 911 Carrera rocked the road between Alyth and Meigle on Saturday evening.
Driver Dies at Scene
The smash happened around 5pm on 29 April 2023. Emergency crews rushed to the scene but could not save the 47-year-old driver, who died instantly. Thankfully, no other vehicles were involved.
Road Closure and Investigation
The road remained closed while police carried out a full crash investigation. It finally reopened around midday the following day.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Sergeant Kevin Wilkie of Perth Road Policing Unit said: “Our enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing and our thoughts are with the driver’s family at this difficult time.”
“I would urge anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the car prior to the incident to get in touch.”
