Tragic Orpington House Fire Claims Two Lives

Detectives confirm a second victim has died following a devastating house fire in Orpington’s Cray Avenue. Emergency services were called just after 11pm on Monday, 28 May when flames broke out at the family home.

Two Dead, Two Injured in Fiery Inferno

A 45-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem on 30 May revealed she died from burns and smoke inhalation.

A 45-year-old man was rushed to hospital but sadly passed away on Sunday, 2 June. His post-mortem is scheduled for 6 June.

Two children, an 11-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy, were also hospitalised with minor injuries but have since been discharged.

Police and Fire Brigade Launch Full Investigation

The South Area Command Unit and London Fire Brigade are leading the probe into the fire’s cause. So far, no arrests have been made.

Next of kin have been informed, and the victims are believed to be family members.
