A serious crash involving three vehicles has slammed the A1 southbound near Junction 41, causing chaos on the roads. The collision happened around 12:36 PM today and led to multiple injuries, forcing full closures on both the southbound and northbound carriageways.
Three Seriously Hurt, Several Others Injured
Emergency services rushed to the scene. Three people suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital for urgent treatment. Several others are treated as “walking wounded,” with minor injuries.

The A1 southbound is shut between Junction 41 (M62) and Junction 40 (Ferrybridge). The northbound side is also closed, with no quick reopening in sight. Emergency crews are working hard to clear the wreckage and carry out a detailed investigation.
