Teen Shot in Brixton on New Year’s Day – Police Hunt Witnesses

17-Year-Old Hospitalised After Early Hours Shooting

A 17-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being shot in Brixton just after midnight on New Year’s Day. The shooting happened in Roycroft Close, Upper Tulse Hill, with police called to the scene shortly after 1am on January 1.

Officers arrived alongside London Ambulance Service paramedics to find the teenager suffering a gunshot wound. He was rushed to hospital and remains there under urgent medical care, two days after the attack.

16-Year-Old Arrested Over Attempted Murder

Later the same night, police arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of attempted murder. He is currently in custody as detectives continue their investigation.
