Teenager Shot Late Monday Night in Southwark
Just after 11pm on Monday, July 15, chaos erupted in Southwark when emergency services rushed to reports of a shooting. The London Ambulance Service called police after a teenage boy was found with gunshot wounds.
Police, paramedics, and London’s Air Ambulance swooped on the scene in Sumner Road. The boy was treated immediately before being rushed to hospital. His condition remains critical, and anxious loved ones await updates.
Police Launch Urgent Appeal for Witnesses
A Detective Inspector heading the inquiry said, “We are urgently appealing for anyone who was in the Sumner Road area last night to come forward. Even the smallest bit of info could be vital in catching the shooter and understanding what led to this horrific attack.”
They’re also urging anyone with dashcam or mobile phone footage capturing the incident or moments before to help the investigation.
