Teen Girl Hospitalised After Gloucester Stabbing
A 16-year-old girl is in hospital following a suspected stabbing in Gloucester on Sunday night, 28 January.
17-Year-Old Boy Arrested on Attempted Murder Charges
Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in custody as investigations continue. Officers were called to a Kingsway address shortly after 8pm where a male reportedly stabbed the girl before fleeing the scene.
Community & Police Respond to Violent Incident
- Members of the public assisted at the scene until emergency services arrived.
- The teen suspect was apprehended at a separate Gloucester address a short while later.
- The victim is being treated for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
- A visible police presence will remain in the area while house-to-house enquiries are carried out.
Police Appeal for Information
Officers say they are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with the stabbing. However, they urge anyone with information or CCTV footage to come forward.
