Woman Dies After Horrific Burns in Bury
Police rushed to an East Street Bury home just after 7:30pm on Friday, July 23, following reports a woman had been badly burned.
Emergency crews found the 31-year-old with severe burns and rushed her to hospital. Tragically, she died shortly after despite desperate efforts to save her.
Three Men Arrested Over Tragic Incident
Police have arrested three men aged 34, 26 and 24 in connection with the case. They remain in custody for questioning. Officers say no one else is being sought.
Investigation Underway
Greater Manchester Police and fire investigators are working to uncover exactly what happened. Detective Chief Inspector Daniel Clegg said:
“This is a truly devastating incident, in which a woman has tragically lost her life. We believe this is an isolated event and there will be increased emergency service presence in the area.”
“Although arrests have been made, the investigation is in its early stages. We’re following multiple lines of inquiry and urge anyone with information to come forward.”
