Early Morning Blaze Hits Dagenham Home – Three Hospitalised
Three people were rushed to hospital after a fierce house fire tore through a semi-detached property in East London. The dramatic blaze broke out in Dagenham just after 1am on Wednesday, February 5.
Firefighters Race to Scene with 40 Strong Team
Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters from Dagenham and Barking stations dived into action. They battled the flames on New Road, bringing the fire under control by 2:17am.
The London Fire Brigade confirmed the fire damaged part of the ground floor. Luckily, all three residents escaped before the flames took hold.
They were treated and taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service. Their current conditions remain undisclosed.
Cause of Fire Still Unknown – Investigation Underway
The London Fire Brigade said:
“Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a fire at a semi-detached house on New Road in Dagenham. Three people left the building before the Brigade arrived and were taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service. The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
Emergency crews were first alerted at 1:16am, with firefighters working for over an hour to douse the flames and secure the scene.
Residents Urged to Avoid Area and Stay Safe
Local residents were warned to steer clear of New Road as emergency services battled the blaze. The London Fire Brigade also issued a fresh safety reminder, urging everyone to regularly check their smoke alarms and stay vigilant to prevent house fires.
