Historic Mosque Reduced to Rubble
Built in the 1830s, the mosque served as a vital spiritual hub for locals. The sudden partial collapse caused chaos and heartbreak, with emergency teams rushing 23 injured to hospital for urgent care.
Footage from the scene showed a huge gaping hole in the mosque’s roof where the structure gave way.
Governor Demands Answers, Offers Support
Kaduna state Governor Uba Sani called the collapse a “heartbreaking incident” and immediately ordered a full investigation into the cause. He expressed condolences to the bereaved families and vowed to back the victims through this grim ordeal.
