Officers confirmed the boy suffered fatal head injuries, believed to involve a piece of store furniture. Detective Superintendent Paul Hayles said:

“We continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident. A scene watch is in place at the Topshop store and is likely to continue for some time.”

He added detectives are working closely with the local council and store owners to uncover the full facts. Officers are also supporting Kaden’s grieving family.
