Mother Speaks Out Over Alleged Excessive Force and Racism

Kirsty Buchanan, the mother of one boy involved, shared the video on social media. She claims security guards acted aggressively toward her son and his friends.

“From what I’ve heard, the ranger pushed him, and my son pushed back. He was then slam dunked to the floor and sat on top of him,” she said. “They put plastic handcuffs on him before police arrived and arrested my son.”

“The rangers who threw him to the ground have gone home to have tea,” she added bitterly.

Buchanan highlighted her son’s history of being racially targeted and frequently stopped and searched.
