Tragic stabbing in Brixton claims young man’s life
Police have named the victim of a fatal stabbing in Brixton as the hunt for answers continues. Officers rushed to Morrison Road, SW9, just after midnight on Monday, 4 September, after reports a man had been stabbed.
Ronaldo Scott, 21, dies at the scene
Emergency services found 21-year-old Ronaldo Scott suffering serious stab wounds. Despite desperate efforts by officers and paramedics, Ronaldo was pronounced dead at the scene.
Specialist family liaison officers are now supporting Ronaldo’s grieving family.
Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn, leading the investigation, said: “We are in the early stages of our inquiry and chasing multiple leads, including extensive CCTV footage from the area. Ronaldo was a popular, well-liked man and his death will be deeply felt across the community. My thoughts are with his family and friends.”
Knife crime crackdown ramps up
In response to the murder, police have imposed a Section 60 Order across Lambeth borough. This gives officers extra stop-and-search powers until 1pm on 6 September.
Borough Commander Detective Chief Superintendent Seb Adjei-Addoh added: “Another young life lost to knife crime. My thoughts are with Ronaldo’s family, friends, and the local community. I know this hit home hard. Our Community Engagement team will be out on patrol—residents should expect increased police presence and speak to officers if they have concerns.”
