Watch Dealer Dead After Brutal West London Robbery
A watch dealer, attacked and put in a chokehold during a robbery at his Richmond store, has been found dead. Police say his death is not being treated as suspicious.
Violent Robbery Caught on CCTV
The terrifying incident unfolded on Saturday afternoon at a shop on Kew Road, Richmond. Two men targeted the store and made off with several high-value watches. CCTV footage shows the victim initially asked to fix a timepiece before being violently assaulted.
“We ask that the privacy of his family is respected during this difficult period,” a police spokesperson said.
Suspects Described
- The first suspect wore a grey hoodie and ripped blue jeans.
- The second suspect, sporting a distinctive neck tattoo, was seen in blue jeans, a blue and white T-shirt, and sunglasses on his head.
Police Investigation Underway
The 123 Flying Squad is leading the investigation, working closely with neighbouring forces. While the victim’s death is not considered suspicious, inquiries continue to piece together events surrounding the tragedy.
The robbers fled immediately after the attack, violently pushing the dealer across the room before stuffing stolen watches into a bag.
