Child Seriously Injured in Bromborough Road Horror
A 3-year-old girl lay critically injured after being hit by a silver van in Bromborough this afternoon. The shocking crash happened at around 4.10pm on Welton Road, close to the McDonald’s, on Thursday, October 19.
Driver Arrested for Drug Driving
Officers from Merseyside Police’s Roads Policing Unit arrested a 37-year-old woman from Leasowe at the scene. She faces charges of drug driving and child protection offences. The van driver stopped immediately and is cooperating with police.
Child Rushed to Hospital
The toddler had just exited a Nissan Qashqai when the van struck her. Emergency services rushed her to hospital where she remains in critical but stable condition.
