The Met Office warns gusts will ramp up from Monday morning, hitting 50-60mph inland and a savage 70mph near exposed coastal spots. The Bristol Channel will also face significant storms, making travel and outdoor plans risky.
Heavy Rain Sparks Flood Worries
Alongside the brutal winds, heavy, persistent rain is set to soak the region starting late tonight into Monday. Surface water flooding is a major concern — with up to 30mm in some hotspots and additional quick bursts of 10-15mm. Wind-driven debris could make matters worse, blocking drains and streets.
