A man has been hospitalized with a head injury following an assault on Bellegrove Road late last night. The incident occurred shortly after 10:20 PM on June 20.
Emergency services, including officers from the Metropolitan Police and crews from the London Ambulance Service (LAS), responded to the scene. They found a man with a head injury, who was treated on-site before being transported to a south London hospital. The current condition of the victim remains unknown.
No arrests have been made in connection with the assault.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated: “Police were called at about 22:23 hrs on Thursday, 20 June by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) to reports of an assault in Bellegrove Road, Welling. Officers attended and found a man with a head injury. LAS provided medical assistance and the man was taken to a south London hospital. No arrests have been made.”
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service added: “We were called at 10:15 PM on Thursday 20 June to reports of an incident on Bellegrove Road, Welling. We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew and a paramedic in a fast response car. Our first paramedic arrived on scene in less than two minutes. Our crews treated a patient at the scene before taking him to hospital.”
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.
