Thieves nab £3k of scrap from Redman Road unit in brazen daylight raid
Van reverses into Beversbrook Centre unit
The incident unfolded at around 5.30pm on February 16 at the Beversbrook Centre on Redman Road. A white Fiat Ducato van, bearing the false registration KN22 LFD and stripped of its branding, backed into a unit.
Three men caught red-handed loading copper and brass
Three suspects were seen piling scrap copper and brass, worth about £3,000, into the van. These metals are known for their high scrap value, making them prime targets for thieves.
Raid interrupted – suspects fled towards Lyneham
The gang fled the scene when disturbed. It’s believed they headed off in the direction of Lyneham.
Police hunt men caught on CCTV
Officers have released CCTV images of the men they want to question about the theft.
