Woman arrested after man stabbed in Portsmouth

A woman has been arrested after a man was stabbed in a Portsmouth park last night. The 23-year-old man was rushed to QA Hospital with knife wounds to his head and hand following the attack, which police believe was an attempted mugging. Police said the victim was approached by three people – two men and one woman – in Kingston Park, adjacent to St Mary’s Road, just before 8pm, who demanded his mobile phone before he was attacked. As previously reported the area was placed under a police cordon at approximately 9pm with police dog units searching the grounds of the park. Police are still in attendance at the scene today. A 38-year-old woman, from Portsmouth, has been arrested on suspicion of robbery. Police are asking anyone with any information to call them on 101 quoting reference 441 8003 1477.
