Luxury Bentley Crash Tragedy: Girl, 28, Dead After Hit-and-Run
A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury through reckless driving, following a deadly crash involving a luxury Bentley and a Vauxhall Astra in Barnet.
Bentley Speedsters Flee Scene
At 10.12pm, emergency crews found a badly damaged Vauxhall Astra and a sleek Bentley Continental sports car abandoned on Colney Hatch Lane.
Police say two men were inside the Bentley, which fled the scene immediately after the crash.
Injured Girl Dies After Collision
One of the Astra’s occupants, a young woman, suffered critical injuries and was rushed to hospital.
Tragically, she died three days later on August 23. Her family has been informed and is receiving specialist support.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
On Monday, police arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with the incident. He has been bailed to appear in court late next month.
“My thoughts are with the girl’s family as they come to terms with this devastating news,” said Detective Inspector Ian Watson of the Met’s Road and Transport Policing Command. “We will do everything we can to support them during this difficult time.”
“Our investigation into how the collision happened is ongoing, and I urge anyone with information about what happened to come forward if they haven’t already.”
