Teen Girl Stabbed Up to 60 Times in Shocking Kent Attack

A 16-year-old girl was found critically injured in a field off Highsted Road, Sittingbourne, last Thursday morning. Paramedics rushed her to a London hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

Teen Boy Charged With Attempted Murder

The accused, a teenage boy known to the victim, appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday. Prosecutor Andrew Jones revealed the victim suffered around 50 to 60 stab wounds. The girl, who has a physical disability making walking difficult, was lured on a walk by the boy, who then carried her to a secluded park called The Orchards. It’s believed the brutal attack happened during the night of July 21 into the early hours of July 22.

The boy has not yet entered a plea as his solicitor awaits a full psychiatric assessment. He was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on August 23.

Police Urge Public for CCTV and Witnesses

Officers are desperate for anyone who was near Highsted Road between 11pm on July 21 and 3am on July 22 to come forward. Detectives especially want CCTV or dashcam footage from the area.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil Kimber said: “We are still appealing for the public to come forward with any information they may have which can assist in this investigation. We are keen to piece together the victim’s last known movements and would urge anyone who has any information to make contact.”
