Driver Nabbed with Bags of Cocaine and Cash in Stowmarket
Bekim Meaj Caught in Police Stop
Bekim Meaj from Westbourne Road, London, was pulled over by Suffolk Police’s West Area Sentinel team while driving in Stowmarket on 22 October. Officers found multiple bags of cocaine and a large sum of cash during a search.
Court Appearance and Charges
Meaj faced Ipswich Crown Court on 21 November. He was charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine, possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply, driving without a valid licence, and possession of criminal property.
30 Months Behind Bars and Driving Ban
He pled guilty to all offences and was sentenced to 30 months in prison. Meaj was also disqualified from driving for 12 months.
