  • The burglar tried to overtake on the wrong side of the road, causing the collision.
  • Police stopped the vehicle on Nottingham’s A60 and arrested the driver for dangerous driving.
  • A hammer and pliers were found inside the car.

Police Praise Calm Victims and Quick Justice

Detective Constable Natalia Montano said: “We’d like to praise the victim who stayed calm after discovering her car had been stolen. It must have been a terrifying experience.” “We’re pleased Shilton is behind bars. His dangerous driving could have caused serious injuries, and we’re fortunate no one was hurt.” “Thanks to local CCTV and tireless officers, we matched Shilton’s clothing and movements to catch him shortly after the break-ins.” “Burglary shakes the sense of safety for victims and entire communities.
