Knife Attack Shocks Nottingham City Centre

Malick Jones, 20, plunged a knife into a 22-year-old man’s chest in a brutal stabbing outside a fast food spot in Nottingham. The victim staggered a short distance, clutching his wound, before collapsing at the scene.

A quick-thinking passerby rushed to help, applying pressure to the bleeding injury until paramedics arrived.

Swift Police Arrest Follows Horror Stab

The chilling attack took place just after 5pm on October 8, 2020, in the outdoor seating area on Milton Street, Nottingham city centre. Jones fled immediately but was arrested by police within hours after a swift investigation.

At Nottingham Crown Court on April 22, 2022, Jones pleaded guilty to wounding with intent, robbery, and threatening someone with a bladed weapon. He was slapped with a nine-year sentence in a young offenders’ institution and slapped with an indefinite restraining order.
