Sex Fiend Ryan Doran Jailed Again for Horrific Street Attack on Young Girls
Sex predator Ryan Doran performed a sick sex act in front of two young girls playing in the street — a 7-year-old and a 12-year-old. The vile 29-year-old blocked their path as they tried to escape but the girls managed to get away.
Repeat Offender Denies Latest Crime but Jury Sees Through His Lies
Doran, already behind bars for groping and stalking nine schoolgirls, shamelessly denied being the attacker this time. The terrified girl had to identify him in a police lineup and face cross-examination in court. But a jury wasn’t fooled. Today, Liverpool Crown Court sentenced him following his conviction.
Locked Up Before for Attacking 9 Schoolgirls
Judge Neil Flewitt detailed Doran’s horrific record. In 2014, he was convicted of sexually assaulting nine schoolgirls – aged between under 13 and 16 – on the old Loop Line in Old Swan and Childwall. Doran stalked his victims, sneaking up from behind to grope them underneath their skirts. Wearing a hoodie, he pounced on girls when they were alone or separated from friends.
- Victims were terrified to leave their homes, often confined to gardens or forced to have company walking to school.
- Doran was caught in June 2014 by plainclothes officers suspicious of his hoodie on a hot day.
- Police found video evidence of him abusing a victim on his phone.
Doran served three years and was slapped with a 10-year Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) banning contact with anyone under 18. But he flagrantly ignored it.
New Attack Exposes Girls on the Street – Police Finally Nab Him Again
On August 7, 2019, Doran lurked near an alleyway and approached the girls on the street. Judge Flewitt described chilling details: “You lowered your trousers, took hold of your penis and continued to walk towards them.” He repeatedly blocked their path while exposing himself. Thankfully, the girls escaped.
One of the girls later told her father and identified Doran in a supermarket. When arrested, he was also found with a small stash of cannabis. Despite the evidence, Doran denied the offences, forcing a trial.
Police uncovered even more horrors on his phone – five indecent images of children aged 4 to 13, including three showing rape.
Doran of Bowmore Way, Wavertree, was convicted of:
- Two counts of sexual activity in presence of a child
- Breach of SOPO
- Three counts of making indecent images of a child
- One count of possessing indecent images of a child
Judge Calls Doran Dangerous – Jails Him for Three and a Half Years
Judge Flewitt said, “Despite completing a sex offender programme in prison, you’ve reoffended.” He also noted Doran has now secured accommodation and full-time work but remains a “dangerous offender.”
Doran was locked up for three and a half years, with an extended three years on licence. He must serve at least two thirds behind bars, with release only if a parole board deems him no risk.
Additionally, a Sexual Harm Prevention Order was imposed for 10 years and he must sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for life. The nightmare isn’t over for Doran’s victims – but at least justice is finally served.
