Gravesend Shoplifting Spree Ends in Arrest After Staff Assaults

Thief Strikes Four Times at Imperial Retail Park

A suspected thief has been charged following a string of shoplifting incidents at a Gravesend store. Kent Police were called four times between April 4 and April 18 to a shop in Imperial Retail Park, Thames Way. The suspect allegedly stole clothing, detergent, and other goods during the raids.

Staff Attacked During Bold Theft

One of the thefts turned violent, with two staff members physically assaulted while trying to stop the suspect. The shocking attack prompted swift police action.

Suspect Arrested and Charged

Gabriella Tokarova, 21, from Cobham Street, Gravesend, was arrested on April 18, 2020. She now faces four charges of shoplifting, one count of assault, and one of actual bodily harm (ABH). Tokarova has been bailed and is due in Medway Magistrates’ Court on May 26.
