Twickenham Predator Caught After Brutal Attacks

Louis Collins, 29, has been locked up for life after a savage spree of violent and sexual attacks rocked Twickenham in August 2023.

Caught on CCTV – Arrested Same Day

On the morning of August 21, police rushed to Marble Hill Park after reports of a woman being raped. Swift action and CCTV footage led to Collins’ arrest at a Lambeth address just hours later.

28 Charges, 8 Victims – A Trail of Terror

Two days after his arrest, Collins faced 13 charges linked to that attack. But as detectives from the Metropolitan Police, British Transport Police, and City of London Police dug deeper, they uncovered six more horrific incidents from the same month. Collins was hit with a total of 28 charges involving eight victims.

Life Behind Bars – Judge Delivers Heavy Sentence

On July 16, Collins was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of eleven and a half years. Detective Inspector Simon Sherlock branded Collins a “dangerous predator” and praised the victims’ bravery.

“Collins is a dangerous predator and the length of his sentence reflects the level of risk he poses to the public,” said DI Sherlock. “Our thoughts today are with the women he subjected to sexual violence, and I would like to thank them for their bravery and help with our investigation.”

Police Unite to Tackle Violence Against Women

The combined efforts of the Metropolitan Police, British Transport Police, and City of London Police were key to snapping up Collins. DI Sherlock reiterated the Met’s dedication to protecting women and girls from violence.

“The Met is working hard to tackle violence against women and girls, and we are committed to identifying offenders and bringing them before the courts,” said DI Sherlock. “If anyone else has been affected by Collins or has information, please come forward. Support is also available through charities if you don’t want to speak to police directly.”

This case exposes the grim reality of predatory crime, but also the determination of UK police to hunt down offenders and support survivors. Anyone with further info or concerns is urged to contact authorities or trusted support groups.
