Drug Dealer Busted with 100+ Wraps of Class A and B Drugs in Basingstoke
Jason King Caught Red-Handed Near Jersey Close
Jason King, 49, from Evesham Walk, Basingstoke, was caught with a massive stash of drugs after trying to cycle through police officers investigating suspicious activity on Thursday 20 July. Officers had stopped two men, one holding a phone and the other with cash, when King attempted to ride straight through them in an alley near Jersey Close.
Officers Find Crack, Cocaine, Cannabis and Heroin
The officer quickly grabbed King, pulling him off his bike and searching him on the spot. They found 60 wraps of crack cocaine, a wrap of cocaine, and a wrap of cannabis resin. Later, during a custodial search, police uncovered an additional 26 wraps of heroin and one more wrap of crack cocaine hidden in his underwear and pockets.
Sentenced to Seven Years for Possession with Intent to Supply
King pleaded guilty to possessing controlled Class A and B drugs but denied possession with intent to supply. A jury found him guilty after a three-day trial at 1 Crown Court. On Friday 5 January, he was sentenced to seven years behind bars, ensuring another dangerous dealer is off the streets.
