Firefighters Rescue Couple in Kingston Flat Chemical Scare
Firefighters swooped on a Kingston Road block last night after reports of dangerous chemicals. But a thorough sweep found no harmful substances at the scene.
Man and Woman Pulled from Third Floor Flat
Crews in breathing gear rescued a man and woman trapped inside a third-floor flat. Both were rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service.
60 Residents Evacuated as Precaution
Around 60 people were evacuated to keep them safe while the building was thoroughly ventilated. The fire brigade was called at 7.15pm and had the situation under control by 9.42pm.
Fire Teams from Four Stations Respond

- Kingston
- Sutton
All joined forces to secure the scene and carry out the rescue. Thankfully, no chemical hazard was confirmed.
