William Pallant, 22, was arrested after a dramatic police chase near Dover in May 2020. Officers found two knives and a knuckleduster in his car. He’s now behind bars, sentenced to four and a half years at Canterbury Crown Court on Friday 13 November.

Police Chase Ends in Field After Reckless Driving

In the early hours of Saturday 16 May, patrol officers spotted a Vauxhall previously linked to drug dealing in the Martin Mill area. When approached, the driver sped off driving on the wrong side of the road before skidding into a field near West Langdon. Pallant was caught trying to flee on foot.

A search of the vehicle uncovered cocaine, cannabis, two knives, a knuckleduster, and drug dealing gear.

Speeding, Drugs & More Weapons Found on M20

Just two months later, Pallant was spotted driving a Skoda at 100mph along the M20 near Folkestone. Traffic officers stopped him, and a roadside drug test was positive for cocaine and cannabis. The Skoda also contained LSD tablets, cannabis, and a lock knife.

Pallant has admitted multiple charges, including possession with intent to supply cocaine, cannabis, and LSD, along with several counts of possession of offensive weapons.

Police: Pallant a Dangerous Dealer

“Pallant is an unrepentant drug dealer who carried on dealing despite his initial arrest and ongoing investigation,” said PC Mark Treveil from Dover’s Victim Based Crime Team.

“The weapons he carried highlight how drug dealing goes hand-in-hand with violence. We’re pleased to have taken him, his weapons, and his drugs off the streets of Kent.”

PC Adele Couchman added, “Kent Police is committed to shutting down drug networks. If you suspect drug dealing near you, call 101, report it online, or dial 999 if a crime is happening.”
