Phillip Bailey, 31, from Gravesham, faces a string of firearms charges after cops found a cache of weapons while probing a stolen vehicle case.
Stolen Land Rover Found at Bailey’s Meopham Home
Bailey was arrested on Tuesday, 7 April 2020, after officers tracked down a black Land Rover Defender reported stolen from London just a day earlier. The vehicle was found parked outside his home on Beechwood Gardens in Meopham.
Police Raid Uncovers Firearms, Drugs, and Stolen Luxury Cars
A search of Bailey’s property uncovered several firearms, 9mm ammo, drugs, and pricey items believed linked to criminal activity. The haul also included a Range Rover suspected to be stolen.
Serious Charges Pile Up Against Bailey
- Six counts of handgun possession
- Possession of 9mm ammunition without a certificate
- Two counts of handling stolen goods: the Land Rover Defender and a Range Rover
- Possession of criminal property
- Possession of cocaine
Bailey appeared before Medway magistrates the same day and was remanded in custody. He is set to face Woolwich Crown Court on Wednesday, 6 May.
