Couple Caught Peddling Class A Drugs in Westleigh
Craig Collyer, 31, and Joanne Collyer, 30, from Westleigh, Warminster, have pleaded guilty to supplying Class A drugs between November 2018 and January 2019.
Harsh Sentences Handed Down at Winchester Crown Court
Craig was sentenced to two years and eight months behind bars. Joanne received a two-year prison sentence, suspended for two years, alongside 20 days of rehabilitation and 80 hours of unpaid work.
The crackdown followed reports of drug dealing across Westleigh, prompting Wiltshire Police to launch a raid in January 2019. Officers seized cash, drug paraphernalia, and mobile phones at the Collyers’ home.
Damning Evidence Found on Phones and in Home
- Craig’s Samsung phone revealed over 45 messages about drug sales.
- Joanne’s phone contained 20+ texts offering drugs for supply.
- Detectives found digital scales, a cocaine-tainted spoon, and a list of contacts on an envelope.
“Evidence of substantial drug supply over a period of time was found at the Collyers’ address. It was clear that the couple worked together as an enterprise to supply Class A drugs to users in the town,” said Detective Constable Anthony Swift.
“Their illegal activity went on into the early hours, despite having children living at the address. Wiltshire Police will relentlessly pursue those selling controlled drugs with support from the Fortitude teams.”
