Eleven Charged in Shocking Glasgow Drugs Den Abuse Case
Eleven people are on trial over horrific rape and sexual abuse claims from four children in a Glasgow drugs den. The High Court heard an eight-week case uncovering a decade of nightmarish crimes, including gang rape, forced sex, and physical torture.
Brutal Abuse and Attempted Murder Allegations
Four accused – Iain Owens, Elaine Lannery, Lesley Williams, and Paul Brannan – face chilling charges of trying to murder a girl. Allegations include:
- Locking her in a microwave
- Forcing her to eat dog food
- Hanging her by clothes from a nail
- Chasing her while wearing devil masks
These acts reportedly happened between December 2015 and June 2019. Shocking animal abuse is also alleged, with two dogs stabbed to death – reportedly forced by the accused and children in 2018.
Accused Deny All Charges Amid Devastating Claims
Other defendants – Marianne Gallagher, Scott Forbes, Barry Watson, Mark Carr, Richard Gachagan, Leona Laing, and John Clark – all deny wrongdoing. The alleged crimes took place across Glasgow between 2010 and 2020, starting with one child in 2012.
One witness described a terrifying moment: “Two witches pinched my legs down, it felt uncomfortable, all the witches and wizards were watching.”
Crown Calls Claims “Off The Scale Devious” – Jury Faces Tough Decision
The Crown prosecutor slammed the allegations as so serious they’d be “off the scale devious” if fabricated. An earlier charge involving a Ouija board and “witchcraft” was dropped.
As the jury began their deliberations, Judge Lord Beckett urged them to weigh the “intensity of denials” from the accused and examine DNA evidence with care.
