Man Stabbed in Shocking Knife Attack Outside Home
A man in his 30s was brutally stabbed during a terrifying knife attack outside his house in Wareham Close. The victim had just finished work and stepped out of his van when trouble erupted nearby.
Attack Sparks After Couple’s Row
- The victim heard a man and woman arguing just metres away.
- He spotted a smashed mobile phone on the ground after a loud crash.
- As he walked toward his house, 19-year-old Jaden Scott started shouting at him aggressively.
Scott then crossed onto the victim’s driveway, verbally abusing him. When the victim tried to get Scott to leave his property, he was suddenly headbutted.
Knife Wielding Attacker Chases Victim
The victim pushed Scott away and managed to send him tumbling down the road—only for Scott to pull a knife from his sock. He chased the terrified man halfway up his driveway before the victim lost his footing and fell.
“He curled up to protect himself as Scott lunged with the knife,” said a source.
The victim was stabbed in his upper thigh and body as Scott continued his vicious assault. Despite the injuries, the man fought back and wrestled Scott, eventually kicking him off and forcing him to flee.
Attacker Jailed Over Knife Crime
- Scott was arrested soon after the attack while trying to escape in a taxi.
- He pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a knife.
- On 31 March 2021, Scott was sentenced to four years and four months in Nottingham Crown Court.
- The victim received hospital treatment and stitches but was discharged soon after.
Detective Sergeant Julian Eminson-Ferry said: “This was a vicious attack which could easily have resulted in far more serious injuries. Scott’s custodial sentence sends a strong message.”
He added that the police remain committed to cracking down on knife crime and protecting local communities from violence.
