Drug Dealer Caught Red-Handed in Surrey Hotel
Mark Shaw, 38, was nailed at Guildford Crown Court on 29 October 2020 for serious drugs offences.
Crack, Heroin and Cash Found in Hotel Room
Police swooped on Shaw’s hotel room and uncovered crack cocaine, heroin, £500 cash, three mobile phones, and a mountain of cling film and plastic wrap. The evidence pointed to drug dealing on a large scale, with packaging materials used to prepare Class A drugs for sale.
Charged with Possession Intent to Supply
Shaw faced the music with charges of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs — a serious criminal offence carrying hefty penalties.
Police Warn Drug Dealers to Stay Out of Surrey
Borough Commander Alex Maguire said, “This is a great result and hopefully this sentence will help deter other criminals from coming into our county to commit these offences.”
He urged the public to help tackle drug crime. “I urge anyone with information about drug dealing in their communities to call us on 101 (999 in an emergency).”
If you spot any drug-related crime, don’t hesitate to dial 101 — or 999 if it’s urgent.
