Jason Nyarko Named Victim in Deadly Bermondsey Stabbing

Detectives have identified the man killed in a fatal stabbing in South Bermondsey as 26-year-old Jason Nyarko from Lewisham.

Unlicensed Music Event Ends in Tragedy

Police were called at around 11.45pm on Saturday, 26 June, after reports of a stabbing inside an industrial unit on Stockholm Road, SE16. The venue was hosting an unlicensed music event at the time.

Officers and London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene, where Jason was found with serious injuries. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Teen Arrested After Being Treated for Head Injuries

A 16-year-old boy with head injuries was found nearby. He was taken to hospital, treated, and later released. He has since been arrested in connection with the stabbing and remains in custody.

Police Hunt for Witnesses and Video Footage

Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie said: “The victim in this case suffered fatal injuries which sadly claimed his life. Officers are working hard to achieve justice for his friends and family.

“Our investigation continues to make progress but we need the assistance of those at the event to come forward to police.

“We know there is a large amount of video footage taken on the night. It is vital we see this. I urge anyone with videos or photos to submit them via this website.

“If you witnessed a fight or any suspicious activity inside the warehouse, please get in touch. No piece of information is too small. You can remain anonymous if you wish, but please make the call.”
