Brutal Murder of Bradley Wall: Over 100 Injuries Found

Bradley Wall, 24, was found lifeless in a basement stairwell on Fairford Avenue, Beeston, on the afternoon of June 23 last year. The shocking discovery sparked a murder investigation by West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team.

A post mortem revealed Bradley suffered more than 100 injuries, including a fractured skull, following a fall from a first-floor window and a severe assault.

Horrific Details Emerge: Strangulation, Beating, and Fire

Investigators believe Bradley was strangled—either with a jumper sleeve or by pressure from a brick. Paving slabs were dropped on his body, and wooden pallets were used to partially hide the remains. There was even an attempt to set his body on fire.

Murder Suspect Aiden Ramsdale Caught on CCTV

CCTV footage shows Bradley meeting Aiden Ramsdale, 25, and another man on Dewsbury Road around 2:15am before heading to the Fairford Avenue house, reportedly to buy drugs.

At 2:40am, footage captures a shadow, believed to be Bradley, falling from an upstairs window. Later, at 3:59am, a fire starts at the scene where his body lay. Ramsdale and his accomplice are seen fleeing shortly after.

They then visited a Jet petrol station, where Ramsdale clashed with staff over shoplifting and used a bank card linked to Bradley. CCTV also shows Ramsdale returning to the scene to drop four paving slabs onto Bradley’s body.

Life Sentence for Ramsdale

During his trial at Leeds Crown Court, Ramsdale claimed Bradley attacked them and fell accidentally. He also falsely alleged Bradley had child abuse images on his phone, admitting the lie during the trial.

Ramsdale was convicted of Bradley’s murder and sentenced today to life imprisonment, with a minimum of 33 years. He also received 21 months for a Beeston robbery last June.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Suzanne Hall, said:

“Ramsdale murdered Bradley in appalling circumstances and used a sickening level of violence against him after only having met him for the first time just shortly before his death.”

“Bradley was known to use drugs and sadly that appears to have been what brought him into contact with Ramsdale on the night he was murdered. Regardless of those circumstances, there can be absolutely no justification for what happened to him.”

“Taking his life was totally unnecessary, and the horrific circumstances in which the murder occurred tells us all we need to know about the utter depravity of Ramsdale.”

“Bradley’s family have been left completely devastated at his death in such sudden and violent circumstances and we hope it will give them at least some degree of comfort to know that the person responsible has had to answer for their actions.”
