Wythenshawe Man Caught with Nearly Half a Million Sick Child Abuse Images

Michael Donkin, 59, has been jailed after police found him hoarding a sickening stash of indecent images of children — including nearly 25,000 of the most horrific kind showing rape and torture of toddlers as young as one.

Police Raid Uncovers Appalling Cache

When officers raided Donkin’s Wythenshawe home on July 16, the paedophile didn’t deny a thing. “Yes, it’s all on that computer there,” he told police, pointing to his work workstation.

Detectives seized multiple devices, uncovering a staggering 437,614 indecent images:

  • 24,558 category A (the worst offences)
  • 117,291 category B
  • 295,765 category C

There were also over 7,000 sick videos. Victims ranged from just one year old to 15 years. Donkin even had around 80 videos and 12,000 covert images of young girls secretly filmed in public places.

Five Years of Abuse Downloads

Donkin admitted he’d been downloading vile content for at least five years. He pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent photos and one count of possessing prohibited images of children.

“The defendant and his wife were present at the address… He made a full admission,” prosecutor Michelle Brown revealed at manchester-crown-court/" title="Manchester Crown Court" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="783">Manchester Crown Court.

Immediate Jail Time and Lifetime Punishments

Judge Anthony Cross QC slammed Donkin’s “extraordinarily large” collection and sentenced him to two years and four months behind bars.

“Many of the children were very young, some as young as one,” the judge said. “You possessed this material for nearly six and a half years.”

Donkin was also slapped with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and must sign the sex offenders register for the next 10 years.

This sick predator will now spend years paying for his monstrous crimes.
