Predator Busted: Sex Attacker Jailed After Targeting Women on London Buses
Sexual Predator Caught in the Act
Sinan Adali, 31, with no fixed address, has been locked up for 35 weeks after terrorising women on buses across Camden, Hackney, and Walthamstow. The Thames Magistrates sentenced him on Wednesday, 22 February. Along with jail time, Adali was slapped on the sex offenders register and handed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Victims Attacked While Travelling Alone
Between November 2022 and January 2023, Adali brazenly sexually assaulted women travelling alone. In one harrowing case, he molested a woman for a full 30 minutes while she was asleep on a bus.
Police Use CCTV to Nail the Perp
The Roads and Transport Policing Command tracked CCTV footage, linking Adali directly to the attacks. Officers mounted a proactive sting and arrested him waiting for a bus on 3 February. Faced with overwhelming evidence, Adali pleaded guilty at his first hearing on 4 February.
Top Cop Vows to Keep Women Safe
Detective Chief Inspector Michael Dougall said: “Adali brazenly targeted women as they travelled on public transport and I am pleased that our investigation has resulted in him being convicted. When he’s released from prison, his activity will be monitored for 10 years to ensure he does not go on to re-offend.”
“Women should feel able to travel in public without fear of being harassed or assaulted by men. Our officers will continue to take action against those who carry out such appalling crimes.”
