London Teen Jailed for Peddling Crack Cocaine on Southampton Streets
Cameron Jarvis, 19, from Whatman Road, London, was slapped with a three-year sentence at Southampton Crown Court on November 2. The youngster admitted to dealing Class A drugs — specifically crack cocaine — and possessing the drug with intent to supply.
Hit in Major Crackdown on County Lines Drug Network
Jarvis was caught in the crosshairs of Operation Monument, Hampshire Constabulary’s aggressive clampdown on county lines traffickers operating across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Police revealed Jarvis was a key player for the notorious South East London to Southampton drug network called ‘Callum’.
Police Raids Seize Crack, Phones and a Knife
On January 12, cops from Southampton and the Met Police swooped on properties in Whatman Road, London, and Graham Street and York Close in Southampton. Jarvis was arrested at the London address where officers uncovered phones used to coordinate drug deals, paperwork listing transactions, and 14 grams of crack worth around £1,400 on the streets.
Other raids yielded more phones and a hefty knife stashed under sofa cushions in York Close.
“By taking Jarvis off our streets, we’ve removed one more drug dealer harming vulnerable members of our community and taken another link out of the county lines supply chain, weakening their presence in Southampton,” said DC Rob Harnett, lead investigator.
Community Urged to Fight Back Against Drug Dealers
Police are calling on the public to report any suspicious drug activity. “Even the smallest tip-off can help us build a stronger intelligence picture and bring dealers like Jarvis to justice,” warned DC Harnett.
