Leicester Stabber Locked Up for Over 12 Years After Brutal Attack
Nathan Bloor Found Guilty of Knife Attack
Nathan Bloor, 27, from Styon Road, Leicester, has been sentenced to 12 years and four months behind bars following a vicious stabbing in January last year. Bloor was found guilty at Leicester Crown Court of wounding with intent and possession of a knife after he stabbed a 25-year-old man multiple times on New Parks Way.
Victim Suffered Multiple Stab Wounds
The 25-year-old victim, who knew Bloor, was left with puncture wounds to his back, arms, and legs. Police say the violent attack unfolded after Bloor and his associates stopped a car sharply near the victim, who heard his name being called. Terrified, the victim tried to escape but was cornered by a group of angry men.
Bloor wielded a kitchen knife, stabbing the man repeatedly. The victim fought back, managing to snap the knife before it was recovered by police at the scene. Passersby witnessed the assault, prompting emergency services to rush to the scene and take the victim to hospital. Thankfully, he was later discharged.
Drugs Crime Adds to Jailed Time
Alongside the stabbing charge, Bloor was also sentenced for serious drug offences. In October last year, he admitted to possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine after police discovered around 16 grams each of the drugs in a car he was travelling in back in June 2020. The stash was worth roughly £2,450 on the streets.
Leicester Crown Court handed Bloor nine years for the stabbing, two years for the knife possession (to run concurrently), and an additional three years and four months for the drugs offences. The total sentence stands at 12 years and four months.
Police Praise Witnesses and Forensic Work
Detective Constable Mike Archer said: “The victim was attacked in the street during the late afternoon, suffering serious injuries and needing hospital treatment. Thankfully, the consequences were not worse, but Bloor’s actions were chilling.”
“Witnesses bravely stepped forward, and combined with CCTV footage and forensic evidence — including Bloor’s DNA on the knife — we were able to secure a conviction.”
This case highlights the dangers of knife crime and the relentless work of police and witnesses in keeping Leicester’s streets safer.
